New Tractor
This picture was taken last Saturday at the Selma Car Classic. This is a new tractor, very powerful, check out the dual pipes, chrome too. www.selmacarclassic.com
We all seem to have a fascination with equipment and machines of all kinds. During our state fair, I always visit machinery hill despite the fact that I know nothing about them!
Ever notice how tractors attract kids? Y'all had quite a classic. Valley Grande had a small car show last weekend at its Founders Day, but I didn't get there.
Tractors have come a long way since I first saw them. John Deere tractors are among the first ones I ever saw and those had iron wheels and the rear wheels had bolted on iron cleats for traction. That was in the days before "automatic" disconnects on plows you were pulling. So I have seen tractors snag a rock while plowing and before the man can shut the engine off the track's front end has climbed to a vertical position. An amazing sight and many farmers were killed when the tractor fell over backwards crushing the farmer still in his seat trying to stop the tractor. Automatic disconnects stopped that.
I enjoy seeing old and new farm equipment as I was brought up on and around farms and farmers.
