Oh, that is such a shame. I hate when things get wrecked. Was it on a south facing wall? The sun can be murder on painted surfaces, and moisture the other enemy. Thanks for showing both! I think the graffiti artists have an advantage of longevity because of the spray paint they use being very durable and put on in thin layers. It was neat and beautiful, time and bad painting vadalized it.
It's sad to see the mural look that way in today. Luck you had taken a photo when it was painted.
That is too bad. Murals are a wonderful addition to any town.
