A daily photo post of Selma/Smithfield and the surrounding area.
Sad that its allowed to be in such bad shape. It was beautiful when created.
oh my goodness, that is fascinating and so sad. How lovely it was once.
cool murals! :-D Very pretty!
yikes! maybe it wasn't sealed well or something, it started out so nice!
Wow how sad to see its condition after 4 years.BTW, how you managed to have the 2 photo ? You really well prepared for the theme photo.
Oh, that is such a shame. I hate when things get wrecked. Was it on a south facing wall? The sun can be murder on painted surfaces, and moisture the other enemy. Thanks for showing both! I think the graffiti artists have an advantage of longevity because of the spray paint they use being very durable and put on in thin layers. Think of all the time that artist put into the lovely mural. . .sigh.Have a lovely rest of the weekend!-KimSeattle Daily Photo
Age gets us all in the end.
It was neat and beautiful, time and bad painting vadalized it.
It's sad to see the mural look that way in today. Luck you had taken a photo when it was painted.
That is too bad. Murals are a wonderful addition to any town.
