It is just too wet, gray and cold for pictures today. I went back in my archive folder and pulled out two dog photos. This is a picture that I took at the East Coast Antique Show last fall.
January being a slow month for taking pictures (no snow here) I decided to spend some time with the antique dealers. This is a lamp that I found at TWM’s Antiques. www.antiquesselma.comwww.twmsantiquemall.com
In the background you can see the highway 70 bridge that carries traffic into downtown Smithfield. In the foreground you can see the remains of the old river bridge.
I was in Smithfield today. Smithfield and Selma share a boundary line. I stopped at the park and took this picture of the Neuse river. Last week it was so dry that you could see the bottom of the river. We had some rain west of here, made a lot of difference in the water level.
The passenger train comes through Selma. It will stop at the Union Station about three blocks from here. Pick up passengers and pull out for the trip the Washington DC.
